Before

As shown here at The Country Club Of The South, we had to dredge the silt from the lake but had no disposal site for the dredge material.

After

The dredge material was creatively used in the slopes around the lake, this method also saves money on hauling.

Example of how the dredge material is finished by the long reach excavator, ready for grass.

When lowering lake water levels is not possible, we use a particle curtain to prevent sediment migrating to the rest of the lake during dredging.

The dredging bucket expels the water as it digs off the bottom resulting in mostly solids in the dredge material for a much quicker dry time as opposed to pumping (hydraulic dredging)which is about 90% water and 10% solids.

The long reach excavator is ideal for precise dredging around obstacles.
